The MountainSouth Incubator Alliance (MSIA) is a group of professional incubator directors/managers. Our main purpose is to support the growth and development of entrepreneurial efforts in the Appalachian region of North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky, and West Virginia. The group provides support, counseling, and consulting services to this region.
Vision:
The MSIA, a partnership of member incubators and affiliates, is a recognized and effective advocate of business incubation and entrepreneurship resulting in regional economic growth within the five-state Appalachian region of North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
Goals:
To provide professional staff development and networking opportunities
To share best practices, knowledge and access to resources such as documents and metrics
To promote Tenant business development training/programs
To establish opportunities for cross-member access to facilities and programs
To influence policy development supporting regional entrepreneurship
To educate the public about the benefits of business incubation and entrepreneurship
